Wang Church
Originally, the wooden church was built in the Norwegian town of Vang by Lake Vangsmjøsen, from which its name originates. However, in the 19th century, it proved to be too small for the local population. Additionally, poor technical condition and high repair costs led to the decision to sell it. On behalf of King Frederick William IV of Prussia, it was purchased by the well-known Norwegian painter Jan Christian Dahl, who lived in Dresden. The church was inventoried, dismantled, and transported to Berlin. It was supposed to be placed on Peacock Island, but at the request of Countess Friederike of Bukowiec, the king donated it to the then town of Karpacz. The building arrived in the Karkonosze Mountains in 1842.
The temple is surrounded by a cemetery that contains gravestones, including those of Henryk Tomaszewski and Tadeusz Różewicz.
